PT Link Net Tbk (LINK) and PT Internet Mulia Untuk Negeri (NEXA) have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to kick off a strategic partnership focused on developing Information, Communication & Technology (ICT) infrastructure. Through this collaboration, Nexa will lease and utilize Linknet’s network infrastructure to support the expansion of fiber-optic-based digital services throughout Indonesia.

1. Accelerating Digital Access Across More Regions

As part of the agreement, Linknet will provide and lease its network infrastructure—ranging from backbone and feeder to last mile—built on Gigabit-capable Passive Optical Network (GPON) technology. This includes active devices like Optical Line Terminals (OLT), and passive components such as Optical Distribution Cabinets (ODC), Fiber Distribution Terminals (FDT), Fiber Access Terminals (FAT), and customer-end equipment (CPE) like Optical Network Terminals (ONT), set-top boxes (STB), and fiber installation cables for home connections.

Linknet CEO, Kanishka Gayan Wickrama, emphasized that the partnership aligns with the company’s mission to broaden digital connectivity across the country. “By leveraging the infrastructure we’ve developed, this collaboration will help bring digital services to more regions in Indonesia and deliver meaningful impact to local communities. It’s also in line with our vision: ‘We LINK the nation for better lives’,” he said.

2. A 10-Year Commitment to Digital Growth

NEXA CEO, Priyo Suyono, welcomed the partnership as a major step forward in the company’s digital expansion strategy. “This collaboration gives us a strong opportunity to grow our services across more cities. Linknet is a trusted partner with a solid track record in building digital infrastructure. We believe this synergy will deliver great value to both companies and to our customers. Hopefully, NEXA’s presence in new areas can also contribute to the growth of Indonesia’s digital economy,” Priyo added.

The MoU outlines a 10-year partnership starting from the activation of the first Homepass (Ready for Service/RFS), with an option to extend the agreement based on mutual consent in the future.
