Jakarta, November 5–6, 2025 — The National Technology Summit 2025 successfully took place in Jakarta, serving as a key platform that brought together industry leaders, regulators, and technology innovators to discuss the future of Indonesia’s digital connectivity.
Initiated by Linknet in collaboration with the Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association (APJII), the summit carried the theme “We LINK The Nation for a Sustainable Future,” highlighting the commitment to building an inclusive and sustainable digital ecosystem in Indonesia.
The event was officially opened by Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital, Nezar Patria, who emphasized that cross-sector collaboration is crucial to accelerating national digital transformation.
“We cannot build a strong digital ecosystem without synergy between the government, industry players, and the community. Forums like this strengthen collaboration to ensure equitable access to technology across Indonesia,” said Nezar.
He also underlined that digital transformation should not only focus on technology, but also on creating equal opportunities and a resilient, inclusive digital infrastructure.
Day one of the National Technology Summit 2025 featured a series of insightful panel discussions with leading CEOs, regulators, and technology experts.
Key topics included the development of smart cities, the application of green technology for environmental sustainability, and the importance of nurturing digital talent to navigate rapid technological changes.
A highlight of the day was the signing of strategic partnership agreements between Linknet and several major partners, marking a milestone in strengthening Indonesia’s digital infrastructure through collaboration.
The day concluded with a forward-looking session exploring technology and internet trends for 2026, emphasizing the growing role of fiber optic connectivity in enabling innovation and sustainability across industries.
The second day of the summit focused on shaping a collaborative connectivity ecosystem to support Indonesia’s expanding digital economy.
Linknet highlighted the vast potential of the home broadband sector, especially in non-urban regions and areas outside Java Island, which remain largely untapped.
Data presented during the session revealed that Indonesia’s connectivity landscape is still dominated by mobile networks, while demand for fiber-based connections continues to rise, driven by the need for greater stability and higher capacity.
“The main challenge in Indonesia’s digital infrastructure is not only technology, but geography. With 70 percent of our territory being ocean, building home-to-home connectivity cannot be done alone. That’s why we choose collaboration over competition,” said Eric Satya Arianto, Chief Technology and Network Officer of Linknet.
His statement reinforced Linknet’s vision of expanding national connectivity through partnerships that drive collective growth and sustainable innovation.
The National Technology Summit 2025 concluded with a strong message of collaboration, reaffirming the importance of synergy between government, industry, associations, and the technology community in achieving an inclusive and sustainable digital transformation.
As an annual forum, the National Technology Summit reflects Linknet’s ongoing commitment to creating a collaborative platform for stakeholders to accelerate sustainable technology adoption in Indonesia.
Through the campaign “We LINK The Nation for a Sustainable Future,” Linknet continues to play a vital role as a connector that unites the nation toward a greener, faster, and more equitable digital future.
